A one-month-old baby (female) has died of COVID-19 in Meghalaya, taking the total number of fatalities in the state to 148, health officials said. Director Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War informed that the baby was admitted to Ganesh Das Government Maternal and Child Health Hospital on February 5. Both the mother and the baby had tested positive for COVID-19, War said. However, the infant succumbed to the viral infection with febrile convulsion and neonatal seizures on February 7.
