The first-ever Indie Bengali Pop album inspired by genres such as Dream Pop, R&B, Electronic and World Music, is ready to come alive through the voice of Stephen Daze. A musician and a composer, he introduced the new-age Bengali Music in these genres. The music video of ‘Thikana’ and the title track ‘Bideshi Foring’ are available on the YouTube Channel – Stephen Daze. His debut album, ‘Bideshi Foring’ comprising of tracks like Thikana, Bideshi Foring, Neka Kanna, Machh, Shadhin, Rakhte Parlina, Tomar Ami Ar Nai, Ashar Pahar and Surjodoy has released on 23 July on streaming platforms like Apple Music, Spotify, Jiosaavn, Amazon Music, Hungama & Wynk.
According to Stephen, “These 9 tracks would take you through the variant stages of a toxic relationship that one goes through.” These songs deal with the post-break-up situation, starting from blind love to betrayal followed by loneliness, blame game to realisation with nostalgia and bidding the final goodbye to ultimately self-love. Stephen says that through his songs he wants to reach millions of young Bengali hearts who are in their teens or early twenties and couldn’t cope with unfair means in their relationships. “Some might feel nostalgic hearing the songs, others might find the realisation to help make peace with themselves and break free”, says Stephen.
