India’s G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group held yoga session at Coast Temple

Under India’s G20 Presidency, the G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group (SFWG) began its final day of the meeting on Wednesday morning, along with the International Day of Yoga being celebrated at the picturesque Coast Temple in Mahabalipuram. A refreshing yoga session was organized for the G20 delegates along with the participants of the National Institute of Siddha. About 100 participants took part in this meeting.

India’s G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group (SFWG) concluded its meeting at the Coast Temple in Mahabalipuram, celebrating International Day of Yoga. Around 100 participants participated in a yoga session for G20 delegates and National Institute of Siddha participants. Delegates attended a cultural program showcasing Mahabalipuram’s rich heritage, followed by a local excursion before the event.

 The Finance Working Group discussed mobilizing financial resources for climate crisis mitigation, while member countries discussed reducing carbon emissions. The Sustainable Finance Working Group held meetings in Guwahati and Udaipur. Ms. Geetu Joshi, Adviser, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India, said that “Achieving the 2030 climate targets will be essential to understanding the financial risks, opportunities, and impacts associated with activities.”
