India recorded 11,692 new coronavirus cases, while active cases rose to 66,170, according to union health ministry data updated on Friday.
The death toll rose to 5,31,258 with 28 deaths including nine recoveries in Kerala, data updated at 8 am said.
The number of Covid cases has recorded 4.48 crore (4,48,69,684) active cases which is now 0.15 percent of the total infections and the national COVID-19 recovery rate is recorded at 98.67 percent, the ministry said.
The number of recoveries from the disease rose to 4,42,72,256, while the death rate was recorded at 1.18 percent.
As per the report of the ministry’s website, 220.66 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered in the country so far under the nationwide immunization campaign.
