In Siliguri on Children’s Day deaf and mute children honoured for outstanding sportsmanship

Recently Siliguri’s Prayas Saha and Subheksha Roy will represent India at the upcoming Asia Pacific Deaf Table Tennis Games. Actually on Children’s Day, the two children were honored and recognized by the school faculty for their remarkable achievements. Reportedly, Prayas Saha, a student of class seven at Suryanagar Master Preet Nath Memorial Madhyamik Vidyalaya, and Subheksha Roy, who will be appearing for her secondary exams this year, actually have both been deaf since childhood. However, they have never allowed their disability to hinder their dreams in their life. In fact the two children have participated in various state-level table tennis tournaments over the years.

Actually on the occasion of Children’s Day, a special program was organized for all students at their school. In fact during this event, both Prayas and Subheksha were honored for their participation in the upcoming event. This is actually good news as children’s are able to achieve great height after having many challenges in their life and it is very motivational for everyone.
