In Northeast India, A Plus Charge and Ather Energy join forces to boost EV charging network

A Plus Charge has announced a strategic collaboration with Ather Energy to expand the electric vehicle (EV) charging network across the region. The initiative aims to accelerate EV adoption by deploying fast-charging stations at key locations throughout the Northeast.

Under the partnership, Ather Energy will install advanced fast chargers compatible with LECCS (Light Electric Combined Charging System) at high-footfall urban areas, highways, and city centers. A Plus Charge will power and manage the infrastructure, ensuring high uptime and smooth user experience. The first phase will cover Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Shillong, and Siliguri, with plans to extend to Jorhat, Dimapur, and Agartala.

Siliguri, as a critical transit hub connecting Northeast India with the rest of the country, stands to gain significantly. The introduction of these EV chargers is expected to boost confidence among electric two-wheeler users and encourage commercial fleets to adopt cleaner alternatives, further strengthening Siliguri’s growing role in sustainable transport. “This collaboration will not only accelerate EV adoption in the Northeast, but also reinforce A Plus Charge’s position as the region’s top full-stack Charge Point Operator,” said Samyak Jain, Founder & Director of A Plus Charge.
