Recently a youth climbed a high-voltage power tower, creating a commotion in the Deomali area of Dhanirampur Gram Panchayat in the Falakata block. Actually the youth has been identified as Biplab Roy. As per the local residents, the incident occurred on Wednesday morning when Biplab Roy suddenly climbed the tower. The news spread throughout the community. Despite repeated warnings from the locals to come down, the youth refused to listen.
Local authorities were notified, prompting the Jateswar Outpost police and the Falakata fire department to rush to the scene. During the attempt the rescue the youth, the officials reportedly faced some challenges for nearly two hours. However, the youth was successfully rescued. Residents speculate that the young man may be suffering from mental health issues which prompted him to climb the high-voltage tower. Actually the successful rescue brought relief to the local community. This is very sad news and we need to give good mental health especially to the youth.
