Re-emphasizing the need to build a culture of safe riding habits in India, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) took forward its National Road Safety Awareness Campaign in Nalbari, Assam. Honda prioritizes road safety globally, promoting safe riding practices at Nalbari College, Assam. Instructors use age-appropriate learning programs to enhance awareness among over 1800 students and staff, ensuring a safe driving environment.
HMSI’s National Road Safety Awareness program offers a scientifically designed learning module, practical training on virtual riding simulators, interactive sessions, and existing drivers honing riding skills. Honda’s instructors provide theory sessions on road signs, driver duties, riding gear, posture, and safe riding etiquettes.
Participants also receive Kiken Yosoku Training (KYT) to enhance sensitivity to danger and ensure safe driving behavior. Existing riders can test and hone their skills through slow riding activities and narrow planks. Honda also conducts daily educational activities like road safety games and quizzes to ensure young students learn about road safety. Mr. Vinay Dhingra – Senior Director, HR, Admin, IT & Corporate Affairs, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said, “To promote this mindset, HMSI has taken the initiative to launch an extensive nationwide road safety awareness campaign.”
