Actress Hema Malini married life has been always a topic of discussion because of Dharmendra dual relationship. Dharmendra who was a father of 4 children and a husband of Prakash Kaur( his first wife) fell in love with actress Hema Malini and tied a knot with the actress in the year 1980 without divorcing his first wife.
The couple welcomed their first and second child Esha Deol and Ahana Deol in the year 1981 and 1985 respectively.
The actress previously revealed that she always tried to maintain a respectable distance from Dharmendra’s “other family” as she doesn’t want to disturb them.
Hema revealed that she never met Prakash after she married Dharam. In an excerpt she has written, “I didn’t want to disturb anyone. I am happy with whatever Dharamji did for me and my daughters. He played the role of a father, like any father would do. I guess I am happy with that.”
Hema further said, “Today I am a working woman and I have been able to maintain my dignity because I have devoted my life to art and culture. I guess, if the situation was even slightly different from this, I wouldn’t be what I am today. Though I have never spoken about Prakash, I respect her a lot. Even my daughters respect Dharamji’s family. The world wants to know about my life in detail, but that is not for others to know. It’s no one’s business.’
Actor Dharmendra’s grandson Karan Deol on June 18 tied a knot with his longtime girlfriend in the presence of family members, relatives and friends but Hema Malini and her daughters were missing in all the ceremonies.
Dharmendra has also posted a heartful note after his grandson’s marriage referring to Hema and his daughter Esha and Ahana Deol.
