HCG Cancer Centre Kolkata hosts “Pink Feast Challenge” to celebrate women’s health

HCG Cancer Centre Kolkata marked International Women’s Day with a unique “Pink Feast Challenge” at Sister Nivedita University, aiming to promote gender equality and women’s health. The event encouraged male participants to prepare pink-themed dishes for female cancer survivors, emphasizing shared responsibilities in daily life.

The competition featured three categories—Mocktail Drinks, Salad, and Bakery Preparation—with 25 female cancer survivors, faculty members, and over 500 students attending. A distinguished panel, including Dr. Amarjeet Singh, COO of HCG Cancer Centre Kolkata, and senior university officials, judged the event. Dr. Singh highlighted the importance of early cancer screening, stating, “By raising awareness and encouraging proactive care, we can save lives.” Mr. Prateek Jain, Regional Business Head, AP & East, Healthcare Global Enterprises Ltd., emphasized the event’s broader goal, noting that women’s well-being includes emotional, mental, and social health. Dr. Abha Kumari, MBBS, DNB Radiotherapy, added that the initiative fostered unity and empowerment.

In Kolkata, the event resonated with growing awareness around women’s health and gender inclusivity. With rising demand for healthier food options and wellness initiatives, Kolkata’s culinary and healthcare industries are increasingly embracing such social-driven campaigns, fostering a balanced and health-conscious community. The Pink Feast Challenge concluded with a message of collaboration, reinforcing HCG Cancer Centre’s commitment to empowering women through healthcare and social awareness.
