Grand Shopsy Mela 2024 sets new records with 50% surge in customer demand

The fifth edition of the Grand Shopsy Mela, hosted by Flipkart’s Shopsy, has brought significant cheer to millions of sellers and customers across India, marking a 50% surge in daily demand. This six-day shopping extravaganza, held from June 11-16, showcased unmatched selection and massive offers, attracting 43% new customers who were e-commerce natives.Shopsy’s event saw record-breaking participation, particularly from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, catering to the diverse needs of value-conscious consumers with over 16 crore products and free delivery. Fashion, household items, kids’ collections, and budget mobiles topped the demand charts, with cities like Lucknow, Patna, Nagpur, Kanpur, and Visakhapatnam leading in purchases. Remarkably, 70% of customers found deals below Rs. 200/-.

Exciting deals like Jhatpat deals, Price Crash deals, and Grand Loot hours captivated shoppers, with trendy t-shirts starting at Rs. 79/-, kurtis from Rs. 80/-, and men’s shoes from Rs. 129/-. Innovations such as voice search, image search, and an AI chatbot enhanced the shopping experience, alongside cash on delivery and free delivery options.Sellers thrived amidst the surge, with many experiencing 2x-3x growth, particularly in the household category. Cities like Rajkot, Ghaziabad, Panipat, and Jaipur emerged as top contributors.
