Global Shotokan North Bengal Open Karate Championship took place in Siliguri

Siliguri, July 23: On July 21, 2024, the Global Shotokan North Bengal Open Karate Championship took place for the first time in North Bengal at the Little Learners Activity Center in Jyoti Nagar, Siliguri. This program was organized in collaboration with Jatiya Shakti Sangh Club, Champasari.
The championship was supervised by Chief Instructor Mr. Santosh Malik, 3rd Dan and Black Belt and General Secretary of Darjeeling District (GSKAD). The participants showcased their skills in Karate through KATA and KUMITE categories. A total of 140 participants from Siliguri, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, Cooch Behar and Darjeeling participated, with the winners receiving medals and certificates.
The event was attended by many distinguished guests including Chief Technical Director Shihan Tarak Nath Sardar (GSKAI), Shri Rahul Dhar (President GSKAI), Roshana Dixit Chhetri (Human Rights Association of India), Ranjita Modak (Human Rights Association of India), Apsara . Shangrola (Principal of Surya Public School), Mampi Saha Dhar (Director of My Dream School), Jhumpa Maulik (Principal of My Dream School), and Dilip Barman (Secretary of MMIC and Jatiya Shakti Sangh Club of SMC).
