FUJIFILM India has strengthened diagnostic services in North Bengal with the installation of its advanced APERTO Lucent Open MRI system at Mother Care Center in Siliguri. The move marks a major step in improving access to high-quality medical imaging in the region.
The installation builds on a partnership of over a decade between FUJIFILM India and Mother Care Center, which already uses the company’s CR, DR and ultrasound technologies. The new Open MRI system is designed to deliver high-resolution imaging while offering a more comfortable experience for patients.
The APERTO Lucent Open MRI features an open design that reduces anxiety during scans and supports accurate diagnosis of neurological, orthopaedic, cardiac and cancer-related conditions. The system also allows faster scan times, helping doctors make timely and reliable medical decisions.
Siliguri serves as a major healthcare hub for North Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar and parts of the North-East. Hospital officials said the new installation will reduce the need for patients to travel to metro cities for advanced MRI scans.
FUJIFILM India said the initiative reflects its commitment to expanding access to modern diagnostic technology beyond large urban centres.
