Flipkart has partnered with SafeGold to make investing in Digital Gold available to millions of customers. Customers can buy 99.5 per cent pure, 24 karat gold, starting from as low as Rs. 10 on the Flipkart app, providing a transparent and efficient way of buying gold online. Leveraging technology, Flipkart will enable investing in gold, buying and selling it in a seamless manner helping reach millions of customers in metros and across the country including tier 3 cities and beyond. Investing in Digital Gold is convenient and cost-effective and gives customers the option to buy gold in either rupee or in grams.
In addition, customers will also be offered the safety of a ‘SafeGold’ digital locker. The purchases by a customer can be accumulated in their ‘SafeGold’ account over a period of time which can be converted to gold coins & bars at the customer’s discretion, subject to minimum ownership of 1 gm and will be safely delivered at customer’s doorstep by SafeGold. The purchased Digital Gold can also be sold on the platform with the money being transferred to the customer’s bank account.
