Fire breaks out in Azad market area in Delhi

A massive fire broke out in a few shophouses in Delhi’s Azad Market area on the morning of Saturday April 9, which later spread across three buildings.

The fire was brought under control. 20 fire engines reached the spot to control the fire.

An information shared by the Delhi Fire Service said that five persons sustained minor injuries in the cylinder blast during the fire fighting operation and the injured are now safe and stable. A disaster management team has been called in to remove the debris from a collapsed building at the site of the fire.

No casualties have been reported so far. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be known.
