Rajganj, 09 December: A fire broke out in a house in Jhakua Para of Baropatia Gram Panchayat under Rajganj Assembly constituency, creating a stir in the area.
It is being told that the incident took place at around 9 am on Monday at the house of Babusona Roy, a resident of Jhakua Para village. Fortunately, no one was at home at the time of the fire. Local people immediately helped in extinguishing the fire.
Later, after informing the officials, a fire engine was sent to the spot, but by the time the vehicle arrived, the local people had controlled the fire.
Babusona Roy’s family members said that in the morning he had left the house empty and went to work in the field. Unfortunately, all the household items, documents and several thousand rupees in cash were completely burnt. Initial investigation has revealed that the fire might have been caused by a short circuit.
