Fake items with Apple logo seized in Siliguri, EB raids four shops

Siliguri, November 16: Fake items with Apple company’s logo were being sold in Siliguri, which were misleading customers. The matter came to light during an investigation conducted on Saturday on the complaint of Apple company officials.

It is being told that Apple company officials of Delhi had lodged a written complaint earlier this month. Acting on the complaint, the Enforcement Branch (EB) of Siliguri Metropolitan Police, along with Apple representatives, raided four shops located on Rishi Aurobindo Road under Panitanki Chowki.

During the raid, a large quantity of fake Apple brand items were seized from the shops, which included chargers, headphones, phone covers, tempered glass and other items.

It was found that items with Apple company’s logo were being sold in various shops in the area for the last several days. The Enforcement Branch has started further action in the matter.
