Eye check-up camp organised in Naxalbari police station premises

Naxalbari, March 27: An eye check-up camp was organised in Naxalbari police station premises on Thursday under the aegis of Naxalbari Lions Club and with the support of Naxalbari police station of Darjeeling district police.

A total of 100 people got their eyes checked in the camp. Lions president Kaushik Acharya, Narendra Prasad, Prahlad Kumar Biswas, Deb Prasad Bhowmik, Nimalya Biswas, Banwari Lal Maheshwari, Vijay Agarwal, Raj Kumar Modi, Pawan Agarwal etc were present in the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Kaushik Acharya said that an eye check-up camp is organised in Naxalbari police station on the last Thursday of every month. Eyes of the general public were checked in the camp and patients with cataract-related problems were sent to the hospital for further check-up.

Apart from this, various eye tests were also conducted in the camp. Acharya further informed that a massive eye check-up camp will be organised in April.
