Establishment of pump house to solve the long-running water crisis in Ward No. 28 of Siliguri.

Siliguri, 14th May (Retd.). Residents of Matangini Colony, Ward No. 28 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) have been facing the problem of shortage of drinking water for a long time.

In response, SMC has recently inaugurated a pumping station at Babupara, located in Ward No. 27, Siliguri, to resolve this issue. According to reports, the pumping station has been constructed at Babupara in Ward No. 27 of Siliguri with a budget of Rs 56,16,484. This pumping station will mainly cater to the clean drinking water needs of the residents of Matangini Colony in Ward No. 28.

Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb and MMIC Dulal Dutta, among others, visited the pumping station on Tuesday. On this day the residents of the area expressed their problems regarding the pumping station. In response, the Mayor said that all the problems would be resolved within seven days.
