Škoda Auto India has enhanced its Kushaq Onyx variant with the introduction of an automatic transmission, making it the most affordable automatic SUV in its segment. The new Kushaq Onyx AT is priced at ₹13,49,000, offering significant value for customers seeking advanced features from higher variants.
The Kushaq Onyx, originally launched in early 2023, is now available with a six-speed automatic transmission alongside the existing manual option. It is powered by a 1.0 TSI engine, delivering 85 kW (115 ps) of power and 178 Nm of torque. The new model also introduces Hill Hold Control and Paddle Shifters, enhancing the driving experience.Petr Janeba, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, emphasized the brand’s commitment to customer feedback, stating, “This new Kushaq Onyx offering responds to the demand for an automatic variant at a more accessible price point, making it the most affordable automatic in its entire segment.”
Safety remains a priority with the inclusion of six airbags as standard across all versions. The Kushaq scored highly in the Global New Car Assessment Programme, receiving a full five stars for both adult and child protection. The Kushaq Onyx AT’s enhanced features include Škoda Crystalline LED headlamps with DRLs, front fog lamps with static cornering, and a rear wiper and defogger. Inside, it boasts a multifunction leather steering wheel, Climatronic touch panel, and Onyx-themed interior accents.
