Foreign Minister S Jaishankar met two key leaders of Singapore, including Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Lawrence Wong, to discuss the global economic and political situation and discuss ways to strengthen and take bilateral relations to the next level.
Jaishankar stopped over in Singapore on his way to Indonesia to attend the G20 Foreign Ministers’ meeting in Bali.

Apart from Wong, Jaishankar also met Singapore’s Defense Minister Ng Eng Hen.

India-Singapore relations are based on shared values and vision, economic opportunities and convergence of interests on key issues.
The foreign ministers of China, Russia and the US are also expected to attend in Bali.
