Siliguri: The NJP police have arrested an e-rickshaw driver for molesting a young woman.
The incident took place on Thursday morning when the woman boarded the e-rickshaw from the Teenbatti More area. The accused has been identified as Biplab Biswas and he is a resident of Teenbatti.
According to the complaint, the driver molested the young woman during the journey. The traffic police reported the incident and immediately took the driver to the NJP police station.
Based on the woman’s written complaint, the police arrested the driver and later produced him in the Jalpaiguri court.
