Dr. Harikrishnan Parthasarathy, a Senior Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Apollo Speciality Hospitals and Dr. Gaandi Neeraj Bharat, a consultant orthopedic surgeon at Apollo Hospitals has attended at a press meet in Siliguri on 30TH March.
Dr. Harikrishnan Parthasarathy highlighted that many young people in India are suffering from heart attacks due to lifestyle factors such as smoking, inactivity, and consuming rich food. Additionally, many people have cholesterol and sugar issues, which contribute to heart attacks. To improve health, it is recommended to eliminate bad habits, engage in regular exercise, avoid weight gain, and undergo regular health checkups, starting at age 35-40. Regular health checks like ECG, ECHO, and treadmill tests are also crucial. Dr. Harikrishnan Parthasarathy highlighted recent advancements in heart treatment, including the use of intravascular, NGO plastic surgery and Impella is a life-saving device for heart patient. It is crucial for people to be aware of these new therapies and devices.
Adding on that, Dr Neeraj Gandhi asserted, “We are very thankful for your invite. I will try to visit Appolo hospital information center Silliguri, in every two month, and will provide our services to the patient in need.” He urged youth to avoid bad habits. He also advised exercising for 10-15 minutes and maintaining proper posture, and avoiding junk food.
