US President Donald Trump on Saturday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his wishes on America’s 244th Independence Day. The Fourth of July also known as Independence Day or July 4th – is a federal holiday in the US commemorating the publication of the declaration of independence from Great Britain in 1776.
Prime Minister Modi on Saturday congratulated President Trump and the people of the US on the country’s, saying as the world’s largest democracies “we cherish freedom and human enterprise that this day celebrates”. While replying to PM Modi’s wishes, Mr Trump tweeted: “Thank you my friend. America loves India!”
