Discussion session held to promote small and medium scale businesses in Siliguri

Siliguri, Dec 10: The Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Department of Textiles, Government of West Bengal organised a district-level support camp and discussion session to address problems faced by entrepreneurs and promote growth in the sector.

The meeting, held at Mainak Tourist Lodge in Siliguri on Tuesday, was attended by small and medium scale entrepreneurs from Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts. MSME Minister Chandranath Sinha, Rajesh Pandey, Mayor Gautam Deb and others attended the event.

During the session, Minister Chandranath Sinha announced that loans worth Rs 4,888 crore have been disbursed in Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts. Documents for business loans were also handed over to several entrepreneurs during the meeting. The discussion focused on challenges faced by businesses as well as exploring new industries in the region.
