Deputy commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K has notified that the National Immunization Day (NID) or “polio ravivar” would be conducted from January 31 to February 2 in Mon. The inoculation drive will administer two drops of bivalent Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) to all infants and children between the age 0-5 years of age. Teams will be in identified Polio Booths on January 31 followed by house to house activities on February 1 and 2. All village functionaries/town/ward committee members have been directed to motivate and mobilise the beneficiaries (0-5 years) to get the vaccine and ensure that no child is left out in their respective jurisdiction.
