Sonia Gandhi, a former AICC leader, and Mallikarjun Kharge, a current member of the Congress’ top brass, met on Friday to discuss the party’s future plans in the wake of Rahul Gandhi’s exclusion from the Lok Parliament. After Rahul Gandhi was found guilty, top party leaders met at 6 p.m. at the party headquarters to discuss his disqualification, which was originally scheduled for Friday evening. Kharge and Sonia Gandhi were joined at the meeting by top leaders P Chidambaram, Anand Sharma, Ambika Soni, Mukul Wasnik, Salman Khurshid, and Pawan Kumar Bansal, as well as Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, K C Venugopal, Jairam Ramesh, Rajiv Shukla, and Tariq Anwar. According to sources, the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi and the party’s agitation strategy and plans were the main topics of discussion.
