Congressman Navjot Singh Sidhu attacked the Centre shortly after leaving the Patiala Central Prison, claiming that the country’s institutions have become slaves and that democracy is in shackles.
Additionally, he asserted that a plot is being developed to impose President’s Rule in Punjab.
Bhagwant Mann, the chief minister of Punjab, was referred to by Sidhu as a “akhbari mukhmantri,” and his administration was criticised for concerns with debt and law and order.
