Maharashtra has recorded 2,337 swine flu active cases and 98 deaths between January 1 and August 28 this year, prompting the country fitness branch on Monday to enchantment people to exercise warning whilst taking part in Ganesh festivities.
It said these cases have been recorded in 19 districts, led by Pune with 770 cases along with 33 deaths.
Mumbai has accounted for 348 cases and three deaths, while the figures are 474 and 14 for neighboring Thane, respectively, an official said. Kolhapur recorded 159 cases and thirteen deaths during this period.
“From January 1 to August 28 this year the state has reported 2,337 swine flu cases and 98 deaths. In the history of increasing swine flu cases, people have to be careful and have fun in the competition,” he said.
