Students cannot pass the final exam without final examination.
Said the Supreme Court. The apex court on Friday said that colleges and universities have to complete all the remaining examinations of the final year by September 30 as per the directions of the University Grand Commission. The last date for taking the test may be postponed considering the trial. UGC will think about that. However, students have to take the final exam.
According to the guidelines issued by the UGC on July 6, the court said that if a state’s disaster management department decides, considering the situation, that the test needs to be postponed, the matter will be looked into.
A bench headed by Justice Ashok Bhushan upheld the UGC’s decision and said that if a state thinks that it cannot conduct the examination by September 30, it must apply to the UGC for a new date.
