Breaking down barriers: The ‘Feel Good With Fiama’ mental wellbeing survey 2024 unveils insights

The ITC’s “Feel Good With Fiama Mental Wellbeing Survey 2024” reveals a complex landscape of mental health perceptions in the country. While 83% of participants acknowledge that mental health issues are nothing to be ashamed of, a striking 81% express discomfort in sharing their therapy experiences.

The survey, conducted in collaboration with NielsenIQ, highlights the financial hurdles many face in accessing therapy. A notable 77% of respondents deem therapy too expensive, and 74% report that mental health services are not covered by health insurance. Moreover, 90% of participants stressed the need for improved work-life balance policies, with 21% of Gen Z identifying work-life imbalance as a key contributor to mental health concerns.

In Siliguri, the survey reflects a growing need for accessible mental health services. As residents grapple with economic pressures, awareness campaigns and affordable therapy options are crucial. Initiatives like ITC Fiama’s virtual therapy clinic, offering sessions at INR 300, aim to address these gaps, fostering a culture of openness and support.”The journey to mental well-being can be challenging,” said Sameer Satpathy, Divisional Chief Executive, Personal Care Products Business, ITC Limited. “We are committed to making therapy more accessible and affordable through our initiative.”
