Siliguri, June 26: International Anti-Drug Day was observed with various initiatives aimed at promoting a drug-free society. Anti Corruption Foundation of India organized a voluntary blood donation camp and a special awareness session at Baribhasa near Siliguri.
The program began with the lamp lighting ceremony, which was followed by a discussion emphasizing the importance of creating a drug-free community. During the program, awareness messages were also broadcasted at various drug de-addiction centres.
The chief guests at the event included ACP Farooq Mohammed Chaudhary of Siliguri Police Commissionerate and President’s Award winner Babita Prasad, among other notable personalities.
