Clarifying that Tingsangai John Pamai, who had signed the representation for removal of State BJP president, was working for his “self interest without party principle”, the BJP functionaries of Peren district demanded that he (Tinhsangai) be immediately removed and necessary party disciplinary action be initiated against him.
The party unit claimed that he had “declared himself to give up his post for his misdeed”, and for which the case has being endorsed to higher up to fill up the post.
However, the party claimed that he continued to use the designation to defame the good image of the district party functionaries, which it stated was no “more acceptable to the party functionaries and we no longer consider him as president of our district”.
Therefore, the party functionaries claimed that what Tingsangai had done was of his own violation and that none of the party functionaries in the district was consulted or aware of the demand.
Further, the party functionaries stated that it opposed the demand for removal of state BJP president and instead affirmed to “remain steadfast and loyal to the party principle and continue in support with the state
BJP president for his full tenure”.
