Bihar: I’ve Resigned, Says Nitish Kumar, Visits Tejashwi Yadav’s Home

“I’ve resigned,” stated Nitish Kumar this evening, hours after his party signed off on his choice to stop his alliance with the BJP in Bihar.

Nitish Kumar met his MLAs for the second time before coming up with his choice about dumping the BJP. He met the governor to submit his resignation letter this afternoon. “I have resigned, and I have informed my legislators about this,” he told the media after meeting the governor.

He will meet the Governor for the 2nd time along with Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav to seek a new term as Chief Minister.
The tension between the two events hit breakpoint over Nitish Kumar’s concerns that Union Minister Amit Shah is working relentlessly to cut up the Janata Dal (United).

To this end, Nitish Kumar accused his own party’s former chief RCP Singh of acting as Amit Shah’s proxy. RCP Singh quit the JDU over the weekend after his party accused him of deep corruption.
