Mirik, September 09: The Bharatiya Gorkha Democratic Front celebrated its 4th foundation day with great pomp at Alay Maidan in Mirik on Monday. The program began with the hoisting of the party flag by BGPM central president Anit Thapa.
During the ceremony, Anit Thapa was given a grand traditional welcome with cultural musical instruments. On this occasion, the party president cut a cake to celebrate this achievement.
BGPM Central Assistant Secretary Jyoti Kumar Rai delivered the welcome address. During the program, four councilors of Mirik district also congratulated Anit Thapa and Central General Secretary Amar Lama.
Party officials, workers and members from Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Kurseong and Mirik attended the function. The event concluded with various cultural and musical programmes.
