Bhakti Nagar Traffic Police rediscoverd stolen scooter of Civic Volunteer from Kalimpong, one arrested

Siliguri, 6th May (Retd.). In a significant breakthrough, Bhakti Nagar Traffic Police has successfully recovered the stolen scooter of a Civic Volunteer from Kalimpong. After this incident, accused thief Arpan Darji was arrested.

According to reports, Kalimpong police station had received a complaint of theft of a civic volunteer’s scooter. Despite initial investigation yielding no clues, ASI Haripad Roy of Bhakti Nagar traffic point spotted Arpan Darji riding the scooter during his morning duty. This aroused suspicion and traffic police personnel conducted a thorough investigation.

After this, Arpan Tailor was stopped and interrogated for necessary documents and license. On enquiry, Arpan claimed that the scooter belonged to his friend. However, upon checking the number plate of the scooter, it was confirmed to be stolen property.

Subsequently, Haripada Roy immediately informed the Bhakti Nagar police station, which led to the arrest of Arpan Tailor. The detained person and the recovered vehicle were handed over to Kalimpong Police Station in the afternoon for further legal proceedings. At present the incident is being further investigated.
