Bankura Police’s controversial use of community volunteers as instructors in primary schools is a problem in West Bengal

The “Ankur” project was disclosed by the Bankura Police on Wednesday. The 46 schools where civic volunteers will instruct primary-level kids have already been determined.

The locations for the classes have also been determined as community centres.

In light of the state police’s primary concentration on upholding law and order, there are allegedly worries regarding their engagement in situations involving education.

Upon being questioned about the situation, Bankura Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Tiwari stated that “Ankur” is a unique initiative of the Bankura SP in coordination with “Nanritam” to provide free coaching to primary school students in English and Math in various locations throughout the district.
