Bajaj Group announces Rs. 5,000 crore commitment to social impact initiatives

The Bajaj Group has announced an ambitious commitment of Rs. 5,000 crore over the next five years towards various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Named ‘Bajaj Beyond,’ this endeavor aims to empower over 2 crore Indians, particularly focusing on skill development for the youth.The announcement underscores the Bajaj Family’s long-standing dedication to social responsibility, with a legacy spanning generations. Over the past decade alone, the group has contributed nearly Rs. 4,000 crore towards CSR initiatives, with a predominant emphasis on education, health, livelihood, water conservation, and other developmental areas.

Key among the initiatives is the Bajaj Engineering Skills Training (BEST) program, inaugurated in 2023, which targets the enhancement of engineering graduates’ skills in cutting-edge technologies relevant to Industry 4.0. Additionally, Bajaj Finserv Ltd’s Certificate Program in Banking, Finance and Insurance (CPBFI) aims to bridge the skilling gap, particularly for first-generation graduates from smaller towns and cities.Shekhar Bajaj, Chairman and Managing Director of Bajaj Electricals Ltd., expressed his views, stating, “Our initiatives have demonstrated the transformative impact of empowering India’s youth.”
