She died on 8th September 2022 at the age of 96. Several leaders across the world have issued statements paying tribute to her. According to a statement from Buckingham Palace, Queen Elizabeth died peacefully at her estate in Balmorals, Scotland.
Queen Elizabeth II’s eldest son, Charles, succeeds as king immediately, according to centuries of protocol, beginning a new; King Charles III will make his first speech as King On Friday, stated by his spokesman. Flags will return to full mast for a 24-hour period beginning at 13:00 BST on Saturday to mark the proclamation of King Charles as King, before returning to half-mast.
