Arunachal Pradesh Government signs MOU for healthcare services development

The Government of Arunachal Pradesh has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Religare Enterprises in Itanagar on 11 August, to support the development of the state’s healthcare services. The initiative is part of Religare’s CSR commitments under its Religare Care Foundation (RCF). The technical advisory support will cover various areas of the healthcare ecosystem, including addressing the skill gap in specialized medical care.

The first initiative under the MoU will involve establishing a Centre of Excellence for Renal Sciences at the Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (TRIHMS). The collaboration will involve technical assistance from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and its partner, Religare Care Foundation, to strengthen the hill state’s tertiary healthcare systems and infrastructure. The Arunachal Pradesh government has demonstrated a strong commitment to promoting various development initiatives related to healthcare, education, and sports in the state.

Expressing happiness at the association, Shri Pema Khandu, Honourable Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh said, “The MoU is a step forward to fulfil the vision of providing affordable, accessible and equitable Health care services to the people of Arunachal Pradesh. By joining hands with Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Religare group, we look forward to bringing changes that positively impact the lives of the people and also the entire Health care landscape of the State.”
