A man’s pants pocket contained gold valued at crores. After apprehending an individual and transporting the gold illegally, it was retrieved once more. On the basis of a tip, the raid was carried out by the Central Revenue Intelligence Department, or DRI. A person from the Cooch Behar district’s Shitalkuchi neighborhood was taken into custody. After that, he was taken to Siliguri and examined. Gold biscuits valued at crores of rupees were found in the trousers pocket of a guy called Tapas Saha after being taken to the DRI office in Siliguri.
The approximate weight of the gold that was found in the detained person’s possession is 1 kilogram 746 grams. It is estimated to be about 1 crore 35 million 48 thousand 960 taka on the market. Through Bangladesh, the recovered gold is delivered to India. Later, it was said to be a table used for smuggling to other places. The judge ordered the accused’s remand when he was taken to the Siliguri court on Tuesday.
