Amul Milk Price : Amul, Mother Dairy increase milk price by Rs 2 a litre from tomorrow

Leading milk suppliers Mother Dairy and Amul have improved their milk expenses in Delhi-NCR and other cities by way of ₹2 per litre with impact from Wednesday due to an upward jab in its procurement and other input costs.

Justifying the hike, Mother Dairy stated it was “compelled” to raise its liquid milk prices via ₹2 per litre. The new expenses will be applicable for all milk variants. Full cream milk will cost ₹61 per litre, up from ₹59 per litre.

Prices of toned milk will expand to ₹51 while double toned milk will upward push to ₹45 per litre. Cow milk charges have been hiked to ₹53 per liter. The token milk charge has been raised to ₹48 from ₹46 per liter.

The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which markets its dairy products under the Amul brand, has increased the prices of milk in Ahmedabad and Saurashtra markets in Gujarat, Delhi NCR, West Bengal, Mumbai and all other markets where Amul has raised milk prices. was sold, information business enterprise PTI reported.


“This rate hike is being implemented due to a normal operational and milk production cost increase. My own livestock feed costs have expanded to about 20 percent over the last year. Considering the upward pressure on input costs, our member unions have also accelerated farmers’ fees by 8-9 percent over the previous year,” the announcement added.

Amul Gold charges ₹31 for 500ml, Amul Taja for ₹25 for 500ml and Amul Shakti for ₹28 for 500ml. Amul said in a statement, the increase of ₹2 per litre, a four percent increase in most retail prices (MRP) which is lower than average food inflation.
