Amazon has announced a 50% waiver on referral fees for new sellers joining Amazon.in from August 27 to November 4, 2023, aiming to incentivize new sellers and help them build a customer base. The waiver is valid for 60 days and is valid for a period of 60 days. Amazon also introduced a “Great Indian Referral Offer” where sellers can refer friends to sell on Amazon.in and receive rewards worth up to INR 11,500/-
Amazon has introduced several technological initiatives to simplify online selling for sellers, including a simplified registration process, Sale Event Planner, and New Seller Success Centre. Additionally, Amazon is conducting LIVE trainings for new sellers, providing them with knowledge on listings, shipping, prime, deals, and coupons. Gaurav Bhatnagar, Head of Seller Acquisition and Development at Amazon India, said, ” With over 11,000 sellers from North East selling on Amazon.in, our focus remains on making online selling easier and more productive for them”.
The festive season presents a significant opportunity for North East businesses to expand online, with 81% of consumers keen to shop. Online shopping sentiment remains positive across metros and tier 2 and 3 cities, with 78% trusting and 68% identifying Amazon.in as their go-to destination.
