Akasa Air, India’s burgeoning airline, is celebrating its second anniversary with notable achievements and ambitious future goals. Since its inaugural flight from Mumbai to Ahmedabad on 07 August 2022, the airline has grown exponentially, serving over 11 million passengers and becoming renowned for its punctuality and service excellence.
In the past year, Akasa Air has solidified its position as India’s most reliable airline, demonstrating exceptional operational efficiency and garnering positive customer feedback. The airline now operates over 900 weekly flights, connecting 22 domestic and five international cities, including Doha and Abu Dhabi.
Akasa Air’s commitment to growth is further exemplified by its historic order of 150 aircraft, marking the largest order by an Indian airline within 17 months of operation. The airline has also expanded its international footprint, launching flights to five destinations in just 120 days. Looking ahead, Akasa Air aims to be among the top 30 global airlines by the end of the decade.
