New Delhi: Guys, Kartik Aaryan is in a Karan Johar film. Oh yes. You read that right. On Wednesday (December 25), Karan Johar gave fans the best Christmas gift. The filmmaker shared an announcement video on Instagram confirming his collaboration with Kartik. The film titled Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri is a romantic comedy. It will open in cinemas in 2026.
The video begins with Kartik Aaryan’s voice talking about his love life in the background. He talks about three break-ups, leaving women feeling miserable. Determined not to make his fourth girlfriend suffer the same way, he promises to give it his all.
“I won’t let the FOMO of separation take over. Mummy kasam khaai hai maine aur mummy ki khaai hui har kasam ye mama ka ladka puri karke hi rehta hai. (I will not let him experience the FOMO of losing me. I have sworn on my mother, and this mama’s boy keeps every oath he has taken to his mother.) The 1991 hit track Saat Samundar Paar playing in the background adds to the charm of this song.
Kartik Aaryan re-shared the announcement post of the film on Instagram. His side note read, “Tumhari Re Aa Rahi Hai Rumi. Mummy Ki Khai Hui Kasam, Ye Mama Ka Ladka Poori Karke Hi Rehta Hai! Super excited to return to my favourite genre rom-com. Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. The biggest love story coming to cinemas in 2026.
Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri will be directed by Sameer Vidwan. Kartik Aaryan has previously worked with the director in Satyaprem Ki Katha. He was cast opposite Kiara Advani.
The announcement of this project has put a full stop to the reports of a rift between Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan. There were rumours that the two had a rift after Kartik was ousted from the much-awaited Dostana 2.
Kartik Aaryan was last seen in the blockbuster Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Karan Johar’s latest production was Zirgra, starring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina.
