Khoribari, March 13: The administration launched an anti-encroachment drive at Charna Jot, Burganj, Khoribari, taking possession of government land and putting up a government board on it.
According to reports, acting on the order of the District Magistrate (DM), a team of Sub-Divisional Land Revenue Officer (SDLRO), Kharibari Land and Land Revenue Officer and police reached the spot on Thursday and removed the illegal encroachment.
To prevent disturbance, a large police force, including Circle Inspector, was deployed at the spot. It was reported that a person named Dulal Barman had illegally constructed on the occupied government land.
After administrative intervention, about 44 kattha of land was successfully freed from encroachment.
