Actor Anushka Sharma has started shooting for her upcoming assignment Chakda Express, after months of cricket training. This will be her first movie considering the 2018 film Zero, which also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. On Sunday, Anushka took to Instagram to share glimpses from the sets. Chakda ‘Express’ is inspired by the existence of former Indian cricket captain Jhulan Goswami and will move to Netflix.
Anushka shared a video of her Consciousness van with a picture of the film written on the door. She also introduced a sneak peak of cricket balls which are believed to be taken from the sets of the film. In the caption, she wrote,“Back to the place I belong.” The actor also received a welcome note with candies from her brother Karnesh Ssharma who is backing the movie beneath the banner of his production house, Clean Slate Filmz. Responding to the gesture, she introduced to him, “Thanks for the ‘must haves’ for this new journey! Most thoughtful crew.”
Fans gave their happy wishes to Anushka in the comments section of her post. Her husband cricketer Virat Kohli dropped a sequence of heart emojis. Actor Ranveer Singh and cricketer Jhulan Goswami also responded with several emojis.
Directed by way of Prosit Roy, Chakda Xpress is primarily based on the lifestyles of Jhulan, who became the 2d Indian girl cricketer to receive the Padma Shri in 2012. It marks Anushka’s comeback to appearing after she took a break. Anushka and Virat’s daughter Vamika was born in 2021.
Anushka launched Chakda Express in January 2022. Sharing a teaser, she wrote in his Instagram post, “Chakda Xpress is stimulated by the existence and times of former Indian captain Jhulan Goswami and it will be an eye-opener into the world of women’s cricket. At a time when Jhulan decided to turn out to be a cricketer and make her us of a proud on the international stage, it used to be very hard for ladies to even suppose of playing the sport. This movie is a dramatic retelling of quite a few instances that formed her existence and also women’s cricket.”
