Amitabh Bachchan has donned many different hats in his long career in the film industry.
He has been an actor, a singer, and even a producer. But even after 54 years in the industry, the veteran actor continues to discover new things. Amitabh is composing the music for the upcoming movie Chup and will see his name as the composer for the first time in the film’s credits.
Chup: Revenge of the Artist is directed by R Balki, who has directed Amitabh in Paa, Cheney Kum and Shamitav in the past. The movie stars Dulquer Salmaan, Sunny Deol, Shreya Dhanwanthari, and Pooja Bhatt, and is described as a tribute to the late filmmaker Guru Dutt.
Speaking to E-Times director Balki said, “It all came about very impromptu. I asked Amitji to see the film (Chup). After seeing it, he is known as me over and he performed a tune on his piano and said that’s what the movie and the characters made him feel. He was very touched. I was once ecstatic. I requested him if I ought to use the tune and he right now gifted it to the movie. Today Chup is the first movie that has acquired Amitji’s reputable composition as the rating for the credits.”
