With 2,827 new coronavirus infections reported in a day, India’s number of Covid-19 cases rose to 4,31,13,413, while active cases fell to 19,067, according to Union Health Ministry data updated on Thursday.
The death toll rose to 5,24,181 with 24 fatalities from the latest updated data.
Daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.60 percent and weekly positivity rate at 0.72 percent, according to the ministry.
The number of people who have recovered from the disease has increased to 4,25,70,165.
The cumulative doses administered in the country so far under the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination drive have crossed 190.83 crore.
