The government of India’s North East BPO Promotion Scheme (NEBPS) envisages setting up BPO/ITES operations in cities of North Eastern States to create employment opportunities for local youth. The objective of the scheme is to foster an IT ecosystem in the North East through the establishment of BPO/ITES operations in the region.
Under the aegis of NEBPS, Access Edutech Pvt Ltd has set up a BPO/ITES centre at Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. The centre has transformed the lives of a number of local youths, the majority of whom hail from remote areas in the State. Access Edutech Pvt Ltd had been allocated 50 seats to setup BPO/ITES centre at Itanagar under NEBPS, which started operation in 2019. The NEBPS scheme was notified by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) under the Digital India Programme.
Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) is the executing agency of the scheme. Access Edutech Pvt Ltd is a social development venture working in areas of skill development, data entry training and smart class solution programs.
